So, you wanna know how we met?

We were set up by our very good friend Alison Waterson.  She was an attorney at the firm where Court had worked as a Summer Associate in 2013, and she had known Jeff for years. Our first date was Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, and while it may not have been love at first sight, we had kissed enough frogs to know that we were at least a step above "frog."  Our second date was a William Fitzsimmons concert where we discovered that we share a love for music.  Fast forward a few months, a few more concerts, and numerous brunches, and Court had become the icing to Jeff's cake, and Jeff the pep in Court's step.

Jeff asked Court to marry him at midnight a little over a year later in one of Charleston, South Carolina's quaint parks.  Court was adamant that she did not want an engagement ring because no matter how many people told her she'd love the ring simply because it would be given to her by the love of her life, she thought she knew herself and her taste in jewelry better.  Well, Jeff proposed with the ring of her dreams (see video below)!  However, it's just not practical for her to wear such a HUGE rock every day.  Thus, we are designing wedding bands which we will exchange on our wedding day, and which will be our everyday rings.  Of course, Court will break out the rock on special occasions.

Both Court and Jeff have waited a long time to meet that one person who makes their heart go boom boom; but the love, laughter, and happiness that we have experienced together since we met, and our excitement about what lies ahead, is well "worth the wait."

The engagement ring!
